On my arrival, I was greeted outside the building And invited in. Shortly after I met my assessor, who was very warm and welcoming, they had some background knowledge re my disability but as it was cancer-related needed to ask me some more personal questions in order to complete a full assessment. The assessor had good listening skills, I did not feel rushed or under pressure. I came with no expectations as in fact because my disability is not physically visible I did not know how I could be supported. However I was speechless and astounded at the time, compassions and attention that the assessor paid to my current condition & disability. They made some amazing suggestions; which I would have never imagined could be possible in order to offer me an equal opportunity to learn as HE student. I feel with the extra aids and interventions recommended my studying experience will be much more achievable and comfortable. Thank you

My assessor was fantastic. They put me at ease straight away and were friendly, very helpful and professional at the same time. They asked me loads of questions to determine what help i would need to attend university. everything now has been put into place for me and im so grateful for their help. I want to say thank you to the assessor and i feel so much better to try and concentrate on my studies now instead of my problems.

I was very nervous about coming for the assessment due to the negative experience in the past (Jobcentre, GPs etc.) Therefore, I was very surprised when I arrived and I was greeted in the reception by the my assessor. They were kind, warm and caring which I could feel from the moment I first spoke to them. They did not judge me or rush me during the assessment and did not ask irrelevant questions. They listened to me carefully and asked questions to better understand my needs. I have never felt as respect on any professional person as I did with the assessor. I highly recommend Broadbent as every single person that I have had a pleasure to deal with was always very helpful and caring. Thank you very much for the great job you do!

The assessor is a fantastic staff together with their colleague who remembered my long name so many years later. The service from the 1st phone call, with the assessor until the end was outstanding. The assessor truly went the extra mile to help me. They were very friendly, professional and I felt listened all the time. My request was a bit of an odd request but to me it was key weather or not to go back to study as I am thinking to do a Masters course and without the medical report I wasn't going to enroll to the course. The assessor was so patient to look through all the past years and they were fantastic!!! I will definitely ask the DSA to get my equipment from them for this academic year as they are so helpful and friendly!
